Website Review
Palestinian Refugee Research Net:
Palestinian Refugee Research Net aims to disseminate ideas and scholarly information. It is non-partisan and promotes academic collaboration, policy research, and innovative thinking on the Palestinian refugee issue.
The website is a cooperative effort by the Inter-University Consortium for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies (Montreal), the Arts Computing Network, McGill University, the International Development Research Centre and the Canadian International Development Agency.
The website is a good resource on Palestinian refugees, with an important focus on the political aspect of the question. The socio-economic dimension of the living conditions of Palestinian refugees is also covered, but to a lesser extent.
When looking into the Palestinian refugee issue, this website is a good place to start. From the right of return to Palestinian statehood, refugee compensation and resettlement; all of these topics are dealt with at length.
The impressive number of documents however make a systematic search somewhat difficult. If you have time on your hands and are not afraid to delve into things a little deeper, this could be a good starting point.
